It's been 4 years!

Hey guys and welcome back! Or shall I be welcoming myself back? I can not even wrap my head around the fact that it has been a little over 4 years since I last wrote a blog post and since I started TheNottinghome page and sharing our home with you all!

If you follow us on social media, then you are pretty up to date on our house progress, especially Instagram. That's my favorite social outlet and I post the most there. I also do Facebook, Tiktok, and Pinterest so be sure to check those out and give a follow if you have not already :)

Yesterday I got a bug up my sleeve to sign back into this account and write up a little post to update you all, rather than just with a 15 second reel on Instagram. So here I am! Typing away with really no direction other than to say that I am back! I have high hopes to write a blog post once a month. If all goes well, then I may throw in an extra here and there. So, if you like reading these posts, then please let me know! Also, don't be critical when it comes to my punctuation and grammar! Let's just say that subject was not my strongest in school... LOL!

So because it has been a long time since my last post, I think its appropriate to keep this short and sweet, but relevant to where we are in life and home renovations. Currently, we are midway in our upstairs renovation! They just are wrapping up drywall (the absolute worst, messiest, and most boring part in my opinion). Our contractor is leaving on a family vacation all next week, so it is up to us to get in there and paint before he returns to lay our floors! YAY! This may be wishful thinking, but I am hoping to be finalizing the upstairs mid to end of August. Check out the progress we have made in just over a month as construction started on June 1st.

So as you can see we have come a long way in a short time! We have added so much character with the most incredible pre-made arch kits! I'll be sharing those on Instagram for any of you looking to add arches to your home. Like I said earlier, the ball is in our court for the next week. Fingers crossed we can accomplish lots of painting, cleaning, and final tile picks!

As for the main floor, it is finished!!! Other than small touches such as wallpapering the laundry room, decorating the dining room, etc. Our master bedroom is complete and ready to be shared on Instagram, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
