Sharing the Baby News With our Family!

The news is finally out to all our friends and family, but lets take it back to telling our parents and families! By the time we shared the news with the knew grandparents, aunts, and uncles :) I was 8 weeks along. We decided to wait to spill the beans to them until after our Europe trip. Mainly because we wanted to just basque in the news and enjoy it just the two of us! I think this made the first few weeks of pregnancy extra special for us knowing we shared such a big secret and only had each other. Our trip to Europe was amazing!!! This trip for someone NOT pregnant would have been exhausting... no one told me you literally want to go into hibernation during your first trimester... I was sooooo tired. By the time we got home from our trip we were dying to tell our families the news. It had been long enough with just the two of us knowing! Sadly, we did not get to tell them until that following weekend, because my parents were on a vacation and Josh's parents live in Indiana. So after another long work week we excitedly drove to our hometown with two presents in hand. One for Grandma Nottingham and one for Grandpa Nottingham. After a very fun and happy night of sharing the news with Josh's family we went back to Michigan to share the news with my family, Grandma and Grandpa Bowdish!

The reason we chose to tell them in coffee mugs is because, we wanted something that was going to make them work a little bit to find out the news! Also, coffee mugs were what we got ourselves in each country as a souvenir for our new farmhouse. So we made it seem like we had brought these home all the way from Europe when in reality, they were white generic mugs from Homegoods (haha).

Each time I watch my mother and father-in-law I smile, I cry when I watch my mom, and I laugh when I watch my dad. This video collage will one day be shared with our little one and I know it will make him or her feel so loved to see all the excitement everyone has!

Thank you to each and everyone of you who reached out via Facebook, Instagram, text, or call to congratulate us on baby Nottingham. All the outpouring of love and kind words have made us smile. Starting on this new journey is beyond exciting and being able to share it with all of you makes it so much more fun!

xoxo,

Josh, Allie, Brady, Baby N
